OMETEO El Paso-born Chef Gabe is bringing Tex-Mex to Virginia with his new restaurant, Ometeo.

Chef Gabe is currently the Executive Director of Oído (formerly Hands Offering Hope), a 501c3 nonprofit located in the heart of the Yucatán that provides culinary education and mentorship to the youth of small Maya communities.

The Niños de Maiz scholarship fund will provide Hispanics, both U.S. citizens and non-citizens, with an opportunity to attend The Culinary Institute of America.
